The Staff of Life - Bread and Knitting

Bread and knitting, I know they are two things I want/need in my life right now, how about you? There is nothing better than a fresh baked loaf of bread coming out of the oven on a cold winter's night! I made this a few days ago, and I was so happy with the outcome. It is Jim Lahey's No-Knead Bread, find the recipe here. We all loved this, so I will definitely be making it again.

How about a little "wheat" from Ravelry:

**Top Left: Golden Wheat shawl by Jen Arnall-Culliford

**Top Right: Winter Wheat Cowl by Milja Uimonen.

**Bottom Left: Wheat Ear Cable Yoke Sweater by Pam Allen.

**Bottom Right: Wheat by Tincanknits (Is she adorable or what?). And as some of you might remember, I am currently knitting this pattern; it's getting close!

P.S. I am sure you all have noticed my blog changes. I hope you like them! Let me know what you think.

On The Eleventh Day . . .

//Some holiday love: Litagogenseren by The Needle Lady

//I saw a hilarious video that was aired on GMA this morning and it's also on You Tube. Check it out.
It's about a couple who have started a swants craze, making sweater pants out of sweaters. They have provided a tutorial on Steven West's website.

How About Some Inspiration

I love the uniqueness of this sweater, the unusual textures going on and the visual interest that keeps you wanting to look at it.

Are you familiar with freeform knitting? Freeform is just like it sounds, freely knitting and/or crocheting small patches or "scrumbles"(as they are sometimes called) which are later joined together into an organic masterpiece. Check this out by Prudence Mapstone.

This yarn by Tereza Havrdova from her etsy shop inspires me.

And lastly, although there is so much beauty out there I could choose from it is overwhelming and hard to choose, but this vignette of lovely crochet work from gipsy bazar really talks to me.
